DIAMOND STATE AWARD: formerly DE Triple Crown
Step 1- Any wrestler to be considered for this award MUST score a minimum of 12 points throughout the season. Points can only be scored at the list of Participating Events below. (1 Division per tournament can be scored) Wrestlers entering 2 divisions or 2 weights MUST Declare which one will be the point scoring division or weight PRIOR to the posting of brackets!!! If they do not declare before the brackets are posted, their respective age/weight division will be scored.
Participating Events:
Milford – Dec 15
Camp Barns – Dec 29
Smyrna – Jan 18
Laurel – Jan 18
CR – Jan 25
DE States- Feb. 23
Middletown –March 7
Point System:
3 points for 1st place finish
2 points for 2nd place finish
1 point for 3rd place finish
Step 2- WRESTLERS MUST WIN 3 OF THE PARTICIPATING EVENTS!!
If a wrestler wins three events but does not earn 12 points, they DO NOT qualify.
